Dubai’s new open-air nightclub BASE has just announced its second headliner. 50 Cent will be “In Da Club” on Friday April 28, following the Axwell-fronted launch party the previous night. It sounds like opening weekend is going to be huge!

13-time Grammy nominee and rap legend 50 Cent will entertain the crowd with hits like “Candy Shop” and “I’m the Man”. The 41-year-old, who is also known as Curtis Jackson, is probably most famous for his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’. He now runs his own record label G-Unit Records, which has seen him work with artists such as LL Cool J and Rocka-A-Fella. He has sold more than 22 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling rappers of all time.

Opening weekend at BASE is going to be big, with Axwell (of Swedish House Mafia fame) playing the opening night on Thursday April 27 and 50 Cent taking to the stage on Friday April 28. BASE Dubai opens its doors from 10:30pm till 3am during the opening weekend, with free entry all night long for this season. There are more than 100 tables on offer, with packages starting at AED2,000 (for a table of four).

BASE Dubai is a brand new “super venue” in Dubai Design District (d3) that promises to rival the best venues in Las Vegas and Ibiza. No official images of the club have been released yet, but renderings show an oval shaped bar surrounded by tables, with a large DJ booth at the back.
