12 signs that you’re destined to live in Dubai

1. You like fast cars…
We have the fastest of the fast. No, seriously, our police fleet includes a Bugatti Veyron which holds the Guinness World Record for being the fastest cop car on the planet.

2. You can speak more than one language…
Being multilingual will definitely come in handy especially since Dubai is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. If you only speak English, that’s alright too, everyone here has at least a beginners understanding of the language.

3. You like food, a lot.
In Dubai you can embark on a “culinary journey” to Peru, Italy, France, Lebanon, Thailand and more! The most popular destination these days is Turkey. We also have a brunch for every occasion… day or night, weekend or not, fancy or family friendly, we’ve got them all.

4. You don’t mind crowds…
That’s good because there’s bound to be at least 100-250 around you at every period of time… we’re just kidding, that’s just on Thursdays and Fridays ..and maybe Saturdays.

5. You have a ton of patience…
You’re gonna need it, especially if you make friends who live in Sharjah. And if you’re planning on driving anywhere.

6. You’re a big fan of summer.
Excellent! The weather varies from 38°C to 48°C every summer with humidity reaching anywhere between 65 and 95 percent. Also, summer in Dubai lasts about six months so… it’s really is a good thing that you like the heat.

7. Beach clubs make you extremely happy.
Much like its brunch offering, Dubai has a beach club for everyone. There’s Blue Marlin Ibiza, which is as its name would suggest is perfect for those missing the sunny Balearic Island. Zero Gravity is great for party lovers and Nikki Beach is the perfect place to unwind after a night out.

8. You’re a big fan of deep house, EDM and electro
Some of the DJs that you can expect to see at the aforementioned beach clubs as well as in Dubai’s many nightclubs include Axwell, Jonas Blue, Carl Cox and David Guetta. If you miss them the first time, don’t sweat it, we get big names all the time.

9. You’re somewhat of a celebrity enthusiast.
Don’t worry, everyone in Dubai is. Some of the A-listers that have visited us this year include Tom Cruise, Rita Ora (he’s here a lot) and Justin Bieber.

10. You appreciate modern architecture.
We’ve got the world’s tallest building (the Burj Khalifa, just in case you didn’t already know) we’re getting the world’s first rotating skyscraper Dynamic Tower. We’re also home to the man-made Palm Jumeirah. There’s also The Tower which, once complete in 2020, will be 100m taller than the Burj Khalifa.

11. You’re a property investor…
Dubai’s perfect for you because there are always new projects being introduced and according to recent reports Dubai’s property rates are on a slow and steady decline.

12. Shopping is your favourite thing to do.
You’re not only destined to live here, you were born to! Dubai’s home to roughly eight malls including the world’s largest mall The Dubai Mall. That’s not all, there are sales every month which range from clothing to electronics and general house hold items – hello Carrefour AED10 and AED20 deals!
