Dubai’s royal family welcome a new baby

Dubai’s royal family are celebrating the arrival of a new baby, who was born on May 17. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai’s son Sheikh Majid, shared the news that he and his wife Hessa Beljafla had welcomed a third child.

The new arrival has been named Sheikha Maitha.

Sheikh Majid and Hessa Beljafla are already parents to twins – a boy named Mohammed and a daughter named Dubai. They were born in 2015, and the proud father often shares pictures and images of them on his Instagram.

This is the second time this year that Sheikh Mohammed has welcomed a grandchild, with Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum giving birth to a boy named Rashid earlier in the year.
