Following the success of the first three Last Exits (the awesome food truck parks that you should definitely visit), a forth is opening on August 10! Meraas has announced that Last Exit ‘Mad X’ will open opposite the original Last Exit E11 on Sheikh Zayed Road between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

In case you didn’t get the theme from the name, the new park will have a post-apocalyptic theme (think Mad Max). You’ll find war rigs, monster trucks and abandoned cars, as most of the materials used are sourced from recycled wood and scrap metals.

The design is an Istagrammer’s dream, with oil drum tables to eat your food from, full sized cars submerged in the ground, and grassy areas for picnics.

But of course, everyone wants to know about the food. You can expect internationally inspired cuisine, including burgers, bao buns, Thai dishes, Indian street food, and Southern fried chicken.

Trucks include:

Pad Thai

Johnny Rockets

800 Degrees Pizza

Gyros

Hot Chix

Burger Pit

Poco Loco

Jaldi Jaldi

Starbucks

The Stuffed Burger

BBQ on Wheels

Just For Kids

Bao Bun

Sushi Box

Dirty Dogs

My Karak

As you can tell from the huge list of trucks, it’s pretty big. Last Exit Mad X is 500,000 square feet, making it a whopping three times bigger than Last Exit E11. The original food truck park has been serving up roadside snacks for commuters since opening in July 2016.

If you’re excited about the fact that the UAE is getting its fourth food truck park, then save your excitement for this – there are plans for a further six parks to open. Each one of the locations will have a unique theme and a range of services that aims to promote tourism between the emirates. Including the parks that are already open, which has proven to be a huge success since its opening in July, this will mean a total of ten food truck destinations leading in and out of Dubai.
