Thanks to the #SaidNoOneintheUAEever hashtag that is STILL trending on Twitter for the inspiration – we decided to come up with a list of our own things that you will never overhear in Dubai.

1. “Hey guys, look! The sun just came out!”

2. “You live in JBR? I’m just in the Marina, so I don’t mind dropping you off.”

3. “I’m here early so I’ll just grab a coffee while I wait.”

4. “It’s okay, I’m not in a rush. You take this cab.”

5. “Just tuck in – I’m not Instagramming my food today.”

6. “Give me five minutes. I’m just popping into Dubai Mall.”

7. “Deliveroo? Never heard of it.”

8. “I went to Dragon Mart looking for a glow-in-the-dark model of Matt Damon… couldn’t find one.”
