As the city constantly grows and changes, so do the “in” places to live, and it seems that mid-market options are getting increasingly popular. A recent report on the Dubai residential market from Dubizzle Property shows that these slightly cheaper options are now featuring in the top five searches.

The three most-searched high-end villa communities are Arabian Ranches, The Springs (no surprises there) and new development Akoya Oxygen.

Almost 2 million property searches per month focus on Arabian Ranches, The Springs gets 1.3 million, and Akoya Oxygen also recieves 1.3 million searches. These three were far ahead of the rest, with the next most popular residential neighbourhood being Mira-Reem Community with one million and The Villa with 795,000 searches.

Apartments

According to the stats, if you’re looking for an apartment, the chances are you’re still searching for the big names – Dubai Marina gets a massive 5.8 million searches per month, followed by Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) with 3 million and Downtown Dubai with 2.5 million.

However, as the stats show with the villa searches, mid-market options are starting to become more popular, with Jumeirah Village Circle (2 million) and International City (also 2 million) rounding off the top five.

Ann Boothello, senior product marketing manager for property at Dubizzle, said: “We can deduce that mid-market apartments are making their way into the top five searched communities on dubizzle by observing search volume data of buyers browsing our property for sale section.

“Furthermore, the data shows that apartment communities such as JLT are preferred by young couples or business people, based on the increase and demand for one-bedroom apartments as opposed to larger units.”
