3 Years to Go
The organisers of Expo 2020 are hoping to offer up some clues as to what the already world-renowned event will offer when it kicks off in three years, this weekend. In addition to live music, food stalls and a fitness challenge, the free to attend event at The Beach, JBR will showcase a number of special activities based on innovations that were first revealed at a previous Expo. These include the zipper, the television, the gramophone, the hamburger and even the edible ice cream cone.

Sweet Salvation
The latest culinary import from Canada, Sweet Salvation is serving up a rather indulgent brand of soft-serve ice cream treats this week. Remix 92 Live on the Lake
It’s a retro flashback in Dubai this Friday as nine stars of the 90s descend on the Irish Village. Performing live on the day are 5ive, Sonique, BoyzLife, Snap, Dr Alban, C+C Music Factory, Robin S, Rozalla and N-Trance, who will serve up a veritble feast of classics that are bound to lift you off your seat. There’s also a strictly 90s set from DJ Tim Cheddar, too.

Plus-Minus Presents Eagles & Butterflies
The brilliantly named Eagles & Butterflies swoops (flutters?) in to put on a show that slips through all manner of electronic music. The British-born, LA-based producer is the latest big thing on the underground scene, and recently blew up with sets at Coachella and Tomorrowland. He’ll be supported by the local resident DJs.
