Earthquake tremors felt in the UAE
If you felt the ground shake beneath you last night, that was not your imagination. You witnessed the tremors of a powerful earthquake that occurred on the Iran-Iraq border.
The 7.3 magnitude quake was felt by residents in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah with many taking to social media to share their experience.
Earth quake/tremors are so rare in Dubai that it's such a strange feeling when it occurs.— Mufaddal Fakhruddin (@mufaaf) November 12, 2017
First thing i always question whenever it happens is if i am losing my sanity.

While there doesn't seem to be any major effects in the UAE, the news isn't so good around the epicentre of the quake along the Iran-Iraq border, with widespread damage and loss of life now being reported.
Iran sits on a major faultline and the region is prone to frequent tremors. In 2003, an earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter Scale destroyed the city of Bam.
