The dry period will run from 5pm on Thursday, November 30, and will last until 6pm on Friday, December 1.

For all those who are new to Dubai or have not yet heard the news, it looks like we’re getting a long weekend at the end of the month.

According to the , Thursday, November 30, will be a public holiday in commemoration of Martyrs’ Day.

It also believed that Thursday, November 30*, will mark Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday as it is scheduled to fall on the 12th day of Rabi al-Awwal.

And, as the UAE National Day falls on Saturday, December 2, many believe that Sunday, December 3 will be named a public holiday as the annual celebrations traditionally take place over two days.

**We’ll obviously keep you posted on the last one but should it happen, we’ll have four days off. If not, a three day weekend is better than the standard two.**
