Cirque Du Soleil’s Toruk
This is the latest Cirque Du Soleil production to come to Dubai’s World Trade Centre. This time, James Cameron’s ground-breaking animation Avatar is the inspiration for the show, which will run for two weeks. Toruk: The First Flight is set in the fictional world of Pandora, where a natural catastrophe is threatening to destroy many sacred elements of the Na’vi’s world.

Be one of the first to visit this already iconic site that offers views of both old and new Dubai. Don’t forget your camera and sure to check out the museum on the ground floor.

Dubai Garden Glow
Yards of recycled luminous fabric and 10 million energy saving bulbs have been used to make the largest glow-in-the-dark garden. Expect to see illuminated animal sculptures, lanterns, sea creatures as well as a sections with installations that pay tribute to this city. We’re talking a deck of cards, the traditional coffee pot ‘Dallah’ and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s popular three-finger salute (symbolising win, victory and love). The venue is also home to a dinosaur park and ice park.

Scape’s California-fusion brunch
Malibu meets Dubai at The Terrace, Burj Al Arab this winter as Scape reveals a new Saturday brunch from 12.30pm-4pm. It’s served straight to the table and comprises dishes inspired by Europe, Asia, Oceania and South America. Starters, for instance, include sushi doughnuts, angus beef tataki, tempura, quesadillas and lashings of burrata, which are then followed by chicken, octopus, lobster, braised short ribs and glazed Baltic salmon. Desserts include sweet tacos and doughnut cheesecake. From AED495 per person.

Ladies can end the weekend in some style on Saturdays between 8pm-11pm at Gaucho, which has a rather appealing new terrace to enjoy at this time of year.
