Ramadanization
The annual art exhibit is back for its third edition. Much like previous years, it will see the city’s aspiring artists portray what Ramadan means to them in art form. The free event is open to all and guests are encouraged to make their own submissions. In short, it’s a great way to learn more about the blessed Holy Month and to do so in the company of friends and family.

The community arts space works to support and promote Dubai’s art scene through various programmes, educational initiatives and community projects. What we love though is its DIY studio. From AED110, you are given access to a canvas of your choosing, an unlimited supply of paint and brushes as well as two whole hours to complete your masterpiece. If two hours isn’t enough, you can extend your time limit by paying an additional AED40.

Smash Room
If only our frustration with this year’s summer heat would evaporate too. While it’s not socially acceptable to go around smashing things in public, Smash Room has created a safe space to do just that. Items to destroy include old TVs, stereos and glass ware. Weapons include gold baseball bats, golf clubs and sledge hammers. Ps. if you bring your own items, it’s cheaper.

Aquaventure Waterpark
There’s no shortage of things to do at this waterpark. Thrilling rides? Check. Dolphins? Check. Sharks? Check. A mega zip line to see it all? Check. In fact you should probably already be well on your way by now. Once you’re there be sure to check out the Leap of Faith, it’s a 9-storey high water slide, that sees you go plummeting down a vertical half pipe before entering a clear acrylic tube that’s filled with sharks and sting rays. Aquaventure also boasts a private beach and private encounters with Cownose Sting Rays.
Our picks: Atlantean Flyer Zip Line, Leap of Faith, Poseidon’s Revenge and Shark Attack
