Will Smith to attend Dubai Suicide Squad screening

There aren’t many men in Hollywood cooler than Will Smith – he released “Getting’ Jiggy Wit It” for crying out loud – so news that he’s doing meet and greets in Dubai is exciting. The four-time Grammy award winner is coming to the city to attend a screening of the hotly anticipated Suicide Squad on August 7.

Will plays Deadshot in the upcoming action movie – a character with dubious morals, much like the rest of the squad. He’s just one big name in the A-list cast which includes Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Ben Affleck and Cara Delevigne. The story follows a gang of super-villains recruited as a special government task force to carry out black ops missions. Of course, they all range from barking mad to completely insane, and are only helping the government in exchange for clemency on previous convictions.

This is part of a series of events that Will Smith will participate in while in Dubai. And he’s no stranger to turning up unannounced in the city – on New Year’s Eve in 2014, he popped onto the stage to perform with Jazzy Jeff. He’s also done a Skydive over The Palm Jumeirah and snapped a selfie with his wife, Jada, with the Burj Al Arab in the background.

The special Dubai screening of Suicide Squad is being held at Vox Max, City Centre Deira, and Vox customers have the chance to meet the man himself, or at least attend the red carpet event. All you need to do is buy an advance ticket to see Suicide Squad at Vox Cinema in the UAE or Lebanon, and you’ll be in the running to meet the star during his trip to Dubai. If you fancy increasing your chances, you can also buy a large Pepsi combo from Candy Bar in the UAE which will enter you into the draw.
