RESIDENT: Chris Wright shares his top 5 tracks
Well, that was certainly a long summer. I got to play at some amazing events, including Space for the very last time and Creamfields for the first. Ibiza and Marbella have tired me out so it’s nice to be back to normality and I’m ready for an amazing winter ahead. Its great to be back at Zero Gravity; this is my third year as resident DJ and I’m so excited for this season – we really do have some top-level international artists booked for the coming months. There’s also someone massive lined up for November 24, so keep an eye out for that.
You can also catch me playing every Wednesday daytime at Cove Beach for my new event, Secret Parties Ladies Day, where I’ll be playing a mixture of deep house and classics. Then in the evening I’m playing at the amazing Cirque Le Soir for Cartel. This is where I get to play a bit of RnB and house. Come down and check it out. Best,
1. “Superstyling” (Riva Starr Edit) by Groove Armada
I’m loving this remake of Groove Armada’s legendary track. It brings back memories of Space, Ibiza back in the day
2. “Burning” by Bob Sinclair & Daddy’s Groove
You’ve got to love a bit of Bob Sinclair. He always pulls it out of the bag and his new track with Daddy’s Groove is a really great tune to play to get the crowd going.
3. “La Luna” by Jude & Frank ft Toto La Momposina
One of my favourite tracks right now, with a new remake from Jude and Frank La Luna.
4. “You’re Sunshine” by Weiss
I have been playing this Toolroom Records release a lot during poolside sets. It has such a good summer feeling to it.
5. “House Work” by Jax Jones ft Mike Dunn
I absolutely love this track. It is still totally going off in my sets right now.
