5 great New Year’s Eve Parties in the UAE
The year is finally over and that could only mean that some of the biggest names in the music industry are coming to the nation to help us welcome the New Year with a bang. It also means that the next weeks will be filled with our friends and colleagues telling us how they are going to better themselves in 2018 (Jennifer it’s been three years and you still haven’t climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. You haven’t signed up for a gym membership yet either…). Anyway, let’s focus on the former for now.

Soho Garden
Dubai’s newest nightlife venue, Soho Garden, wants you to ring in the New Year in style with Klingande & Band. If the name sounds unfamiliar, don’t worry because you have most definitely heard the French producers stuff – it’s hard not to really – he’s the man behind last year’s mega-track “Jubel” (check out the music video below). Aside from uplifting electronic music, you can look forward to watching the Burj Khalifa light up at mid-night as well as excellent beverage packages. For AED400, ladies can enjoy free flowing house beverages from 7pm to 12am. Gents can enjoy the same for AED500. If you’d like to enjoy a meal, you can for just AED650 per person – it includes access to the open bar and sharing style dishes.

Inner City Zoo
BASEMENT JAXX will be headlining the venue’s first ever New Year’s Eve bash. Aside from hip-swaying tracks like “Where’s Your Head At”, “Red Alert” and “Do Your Thing” guests can look forward to unlimited drinks from just AED599 per person. We suggest booking a VIP table (From AED1,000 per person, maximum of 10 people per table) because you are going to be dancing a lot and will mostly need a rest at some point.

Blue Marlin Ibiza
One of our favourite beach clubs is bringing one of our favourite DJs to town, DJ Solomun. Joining the award-winning Croatian DJ on the decks is Frederick Stone, DJ JEAN B Jixo & Danz and Aidin Karami. Aside from a great line-up, guests can enjoy an equally impressive beverage package. For AED500, ladies can unwind over unlimited drinks while guys can do the same for AED700. For a set restaurant menu and unlimited drinks it’s AED1,300 per person. Reservation is highly recommended and we sugguest that you book your spot fast because spaces are filling up pretty quickly.

Zero Gravity’s New Year’s line-up is just as impressive as its view of the shore and its award-winning facilities that include everything from a state of the art sound and light system to excellent service and its incredibly spacious popular pool. Headlining the gig is not one but two acts. British spinner Jax Jones – the man behind hits like “You Don’t Know Me” and “Instruction” – will be joined by Brit duo Sigma (we can’t wait to see the crowd’s reaction when they play their massive tracks like “Find Me” and “Nobody to Love”). Early bird tickets start at AED199 with regular passes going for AED295 and AED395 at the door. We recommend opting for the all-access pass. It may be bit pricey at AED999 but trust us, it will be worth it. If you want a table, you can book one from AED5,000.

The “Roar” songstress will be on hand to help the capital ring in the New Year with a bang and yes, ‘Fireworks”. Tickets for the gig at Yas Island’s du Arena start at AED350 and, we suggest that you book yours fast because rumor is, there aren’t many left. A word of advice to all those heading down to the gig from Dubai, book a hotel room – it may be a bit more expensive but at least you will get to sleep before January 2.
