One of Beiruts classic lounge bars has announced a brand new Dubai location set to launch later this year. Indie will occupy the upper floor of popular Argentinian restaurant, Gaucho, and it promises Dubai residents something a bit different. Forget listening to the top 20 on repeat, bad cover bands or so-called DJs who whack on a megamix. This restaurant-cum-lounge will serve up underground music without the standard dodgy setting that usually comes with it.

Think unique cocktails, fashionable décor, an ever-changing line-up of entertainment and monthly events. Given that Add-Mind are the other half of the partnership, you know it’s doing to be good. The company have brought other big names to Dubai, including Iris, White, and more recently, Toy Room.

“We are truly excited for this partnership that aims to bring out the best of the two parties’ practices and put them together in a unique brand that’s never been seen or experienced before in Dubai,” says Ross Butler, Director of International Operations for Gaucho.

This is likely going to be a huge string to Gaucho’s bow, attracting DIFC’s well-heeled to enjoy the after dinner hangout. We’re excited to see what this hipster venue adds to Dubai’s nightlife scene.

Indie is expected to open in the third quarter of 2015 at Gaucho, DIFC
