Dubai Opera to offer daily tours
If you’ve ever been to the Dubai Opera (if you haven't, you should), you will know that there’s so more to see than the act or show that you are going to see. It’s an experience, one where intricate detail such as lights, costumes, seating and the building’s overall architecture, play an integral part in the overall viewing experience.
To give those unfamiliar with this a closer look at the many elements and hard work that goes into maintaining and ensuring that guests have the best possible experience, Dubai Opera is now offering daily tours.
The tours, which kick off at 10.30am, will grant guests access to the entire auditorium and the exclusive VIP suite, amongst other places.
Tickets to the hour-long tour start from AED75 for adults, AED40 for kids and AED35 for schools.
Speaking on the offer, the Chief Executive of Dubai Opera, Jasper Hope said: “Dubai Opera is a new generation of entertainment venue with a fascinating story to tell. Our new tour is a great way for anyone to spend an hour out of the sun learning what makes an opera house tick.”
The daily tours come just days after the world-renowned, multi-purpose landmark celebrated its first anniversary – the Dubai Opera opened its doors to the public on August 31, 2016.
To celebrate its much-awaited, post-summer return, the iconic landmark is hosting three of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s most popular pieces.
The first is The Marriage of Figaro (September 14), a comic tale of love, betrayal and forgiveness.
The second is Così Fan Tutte (September 15) – two officers disguise themselves and pursue each other’s partner, in an attempt to prove that their loved ones are loyal – it’s just as complicated as it sounds but makes for some great comedic relief.
The third and final show is Don Giovani (September 16) – a dark and twisted comedy of a murder gone wrong.
