5 festivals to try in Dubai this month
Winter is here (we’re not joking, it was 12 degrees Celsius early this morning) and that’s why staying indoors isn’t an option anymore. You don’t have to opt for adventurous stuff (though we’ve told you about the new XDubai Marina zip line and some fun outdoor activities to try), but you can still have fun. How? Check out a festival.
Here are four festivals that are happening in Dubai this month.
1. Dubai Pet Festival
Take your furry friend along to Dubai’s Pet Festival next weekend. The day-long event promises enough to keep you both occupied. There’s a dog show, cat show, agility rings and a fancy dress competition. While their fur babies strut their stuff, pet owners can meet with animal behaviourists and trainers as well as buy accessories for their four-legged friends and learn about the world of different animal welfare organisations. Feel free to bring your children to the event as there will be games and a petting zoo as well as food and entertainment outlets.
Where: Birds & Pets Market Grounds, Al Warsan
When: 10am-9pm, December 15
Price: Free entry
2. Dubai Travelers Festival
Expect to meet adventurers who have accomplished impressive feats and achieved significant records during their many journeys across the globe using not only planes but cars, bikes, boats and camels. You might just find the inspiration for your next adventure here.
