Fitness 101 by IGO
With group training sessions, bootcamps, a cycle studio and state of the art technology (the STYKU full body scanner is quite an impressive piece of technology) and equipment, Fitness 101 by IGO is perfect for those looking to tackle their fitness resolution. The swimming pool and hydro therapy facility (the first of its kind in the city) are worth a mention, too.

Gold’s Gym’s Ultimate Dance & Fitness Festival
If you, unlike, us haven’t got two left feet, we recommend that you make your way to the Zabeel Park Amphitheatre on Saturday, April 14,  for an action packed day of dancing. Zuma, Hip-Hop and DesiDX are just three types of dances on the cards. Our advice is to wear comfy shoes, bring water and a change of clothes, or two.

Anelka Challenge
Ex-pro footballer, Nicolas Anelka and his PT, Coach Meddy, have launched the aptly named Anelka Challenge. It all takes place in the hi-tech fitness studio where they’re on a quest to find the person with the fastest feet. The benchmark was set by Anelka himself, and is a rapid-fire 350 steps in 30 seconds, so you’ll need to bring your A-game if you’re going to compete. Prizes include free fitness classes, spa treatments and a two night stay in Fairmont The Palm’s Presidential suite.

Dubai Desert Road Run
It’s a test of endurance for everyone – from first time runners to top athletes. It’s organised as a community event where runners can take on two distances: the lung-busting 10km (AED130) or the 3km version (AED90). Starting at the heart of the Sevens Stadium, prepare yourself for the Dubai desert heat and be sure you make it to the finish line to win a shiny, bespoke medal.

Laugh-A-Thon 2.0 ft. Kenny Sebastian & Sumukhi Suresh
Hold your sides, as two of India’s best stand-up comedians are in town at Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre to deliver the belly laughs for one night only. Kenny Sebastian will share his witty tales and with his seminal style of observational comedy before Sumukhi Suresh takes to the stage with her fantastic and hilarious alter egos, bring the show to a LOL-some close.

Electric Vibes Bday Bash at Tamanya Terrace
Electric Vibes is celebrating its 5th birthday in style at the top of Radisson Blu in Media City this week. The night will feature house music act, Lunar Disco who will be dropping their signature beats and tunes to keep the crowds dancing right up until kicking out time.

URBN Nights at White Dubai
