Siddharta Lounge New Season Opening Party

Siddharta Lounge by Buddha Bar are welcoming in the new season in serious Dubai style. The Gold Dust party will unveil the venue’s new resident DJ, Rovat, who’ll be spinning some deep house tunes from 8pm. There will be a welcome drink on arrival, and a chilled out party vibe on the pool deck and terrace. Dress to impress.

DJ Mel DeBarge at VIP Room

If you’ve ever lived in New York, worked in fashion, or hung out with A-listers, the chances are that you’ve exchanged air kisses with Mel DeBarge. Not because he’s a designer, or a model, but because he’s the DJ of choice for some of the world’s elite fashion houses. Having built a massive reputation for spinning soundtracks at shows including Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein, the society darling’s favourite mixer is going global. In between his schedule of private celebrity events and fashion shows Mel is coming to Dubai to play a set at VIP Room.

Swan Lake at Great Chinese State Circus

The body-bending, gravity-defying skills of the Great Chinese State Circus are renowned across the globe. The troupe of acrobats are bringing their rendition of Swan Lake to the World Trade Centre as part of Dubai Summer Surprises. The show promises to wow spectators, with a mixture of spectacular ballet and circus tricks.

Leftwing & Kody

With fans including Carl Cox and James Zabiela, you’d never guess that Leftwing & Kody started out in 2012. Since then they’ve been dubbed ones to watch by DJ Mag, and performed at some of the world’s biggest festivals. After a month in Ibiza, the London duo are back on the road, with a gig in Dubai at Square nightclub this weekend.

Cinema – Hitman

Agent 47 is genetically engineered to be deadly. When a corporation decide to unveil his secret in order to create an army of assassins, he teams up with a young woman to take them down. Expect plenty of fight scenes and lots of action.

La Residence Saturday Brunch

Fast becoming a favourite amongst Dubai foodies, French restaurant La Residence’s Paris By Day brunch is for the more sophisticated bruncher. For a start, it’s on a Saturday, which makes it appeal less to the partiers and more to those looking to enjoy the exquisite food. Celebrity chef Frederic Vardon’s signature dishes are on offer along with oysters, bubbles and acoustic music. AED300 for soft drinks and AED450 for select beverages.
