We’ve got a nice eclectic mix in the city for you this weekend, so get off on the right foot by heading straight from work for a new sunset brunch, then make the best of this perfect winter weather whilst relaxing by the pool. Don’t forget to grab your glow sticks for the Electric Run, uncover new talent at Rooftop Rhythms open mic night, join and jam with the Abu Dhabi Folk folks and celebrate Australia Day. That should keep you busy!

Caramel Sundown Brunch
Brunching isn’t reserved just for Fridays! Start the weekend off with a Sunset Brunch that includes bottomless selected grape, hops and bubbles, and feast on a range of gorgeous dishes, all served right to your table. Our favourites include marinated Kobe beef tacos and chicken lollipops to mini mac and cheese and much more.

Daman’s Activelife Electric Run
The Electric Run 5km is open to all who want to run, walk or dance their way round the track with a difference. Focusing on health and fun, this unique night run features energetic tunes from DJs Scott B and LPhunk and a course ablaze with neon lights. Don’t leave home without your glow sticks.

Rooftop Rhythms #36
The coolest night of poetry around, New York University Abu Dhabi brings the Middle East’s biggest open mic show back for a second time. Sit back and enjoy the night with the smooth sounds of DJ Allad, or if you’ve got something to share, sign up to join the poetry slam and open mic list on the Rooftop Rhythms facebook page.
When: Thursday, January 28, show starts at 8pm

The Great Big Australia Day
Celebrate Australia Day at PJ O’Reilly’s for a full afternoon family BBQ picnic brunch by the pool. Celebrate in true Aussie style with plenty of food, your favourite drinks (all served ice-cold of course) and live music from Sweet Chilli Jam. Have the chef throw some shrimps on the proverbial barbie, sit back, relax and cool off in the pool with full afternoon’s pool access included. Cash bar opens after the brunch closes and the party is set to continue until late. Cork hats and inflatable kangaroos optional!

Abu Dhabi Folk Club
If folk’s your thing or you’d like to give it a go, grab your weapon, er… instrument of choice and join the Abu Dhabi Folk group in their eclectic song list from traditional folk tunes to commercial numbers and fail safe crowd pleasers. Join in, sing along or just enjoy the atmosphere – all are welcome.

Brunch, Swim, Play, Repeat
The brunches at Twelve have quite a name in the city and not least for the famous rooftop pool. Don your best pool gear and get along to enjoy the view, soak up the atmosphere and feast on barbecued delights. All brunch package prices include afternoon pool access.
