Game Night

Game Night
Comedy, action, mystery and thriller genres collide in this fast-paced new movie starring Jason Bateman (Horrible Bosses, Ozark) and Rachel McAdams (Spotlight, Wedding Crashers). The pair play Max and Annie, whose weekly couples’ game night takes a seemingly sinister turn when Max’s competitive and charismatic brother, Brooks (Kyle Chandler), arranges a murder mystery party and takes it to another level. When Brooks gets beaten, bound, gagged and kidnapped by thugs, the six other gamers figure it’s all part of the plan. But, we’re left wondering, is it?
Over the course of a chaotic night – which draws parallel with the likes of the 2010 hit Date Night, starring Steve Carrell and Tina Fey – plenty of twists, turns and curveballs are revealed, as relationships unravel and the wacky plot continues to thicken. “Some of our favourite films are ones that blend multiple genres, so that audiences go from a laugh to a gasp in a single scene,” says Jonathan Goldstein, who directed Game Night alongside longtime collaborator, John Francis Daley (the two also wrote Horrible Bosses and Spider-Man: Homecoming together).
“Comedy works best when you thwart expectations,” Goldstein says.   And we couldn’t agree more.
What we’re left with is a full-on, breakneck speed comedy that’s shot like an action-thriller in a noir palette. Game Night offers something refreshingly different that keeps audiences guessing until the very end. It’s an edge-of-your-seat, laugh-out-loud cinema experience that’s perfect for a date night or out with friend. You won’t want to miss it. And, to make sure you don't, we've teamed up with Shooting Stars to give you a friend, the chance to win a pair of tickets to our exclusive screening on February 20, click here to enter
