The Obamas are coming to Netflix
It goes without saying that we miss the Obamas – Barack with all his charm and Michelle with her endless grace and moving words, that have inspired many of us, including Melania Trump (which is evident in some of her speeches *coughs*).
And now, we are getting them back – sort of.
The Obamas have signed a multiyear agreement with our friends over at Netflix.
The former president and first lady will be producing a “diverse” mix of content for the online streaming giant that will include a docu-series, features, and a number of scripted and unscripted shows.

According to Netflix, the projects will be available to 125 million viewers in 190 countries.
“One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider audience.
“That’s why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix — we hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world,” Barack explained.
It seems like Michelle is just as excited.
In an official press release, the 54-year-old said: “Barack and I have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire us, to make us think differently about the world around us, and to help us open our minds and hearts to others. Netflix’s unparalleled service is a natural fit for the kinds of stories we want to share, and we look forward to starting this exciting new partnership.”
See just as excited.
We, as you can imagine, are pretty excited too.
