When it comes to art of Japanese dining, few have mastered the craft like OKKU has.

Thanks to its seamless service, always buzzing vibe and mouthwatering dishes that includes the moreish avocado volcano and wagyu Himalayan shioyaki, this chic yet contemporary venue has successfully cemented its place in the city’s heart and stomach.

The venue’s live entertainment is provided by a string of resident and guest DJs – during the Friday brunch OKKU’s “retro-chic” sound features an upbeat yet mysterious playlist inspired by the 80s and 90s.

If you haven’t been yet or are new to the magic that is Japanese cuisine, here’s three reasons why you should give OKKU a visit.

1. The amazing ladies night offer
Ladies are treated to four hours of free-flowing drinks and back-to-back tracks spun by resident DJ Rafael every Tuesday. There’s also a 10-course tasting menu that features a number of the venue’s signature dishes for just AED189 per pair sharing. If you don’t fancy eating in the lounge area, you can enjoy your meal in the restaurant, just be sure to make a booking.
