3 restaurants to visit in Dubai this week
Blaze Burgers JBR
The Bahrain-born burger beast has dropped in Dubai. Blaze Burger is bringing its gourmet bun-based creations in the hope of adding a little quality to the local scene. With American Angus or Australian wagyu only ground directly before being formed into patties and grilled, freshness here is one of their key selling points, as is current food trends: anyone carb-counting can order a lettuce wrap instead of bread. One diet-buster that will attract interest, though, is the DryShake – the city’s first milkshake made entirely with ice-cream.

Inspired by Melbourne’s coffee culture, Boston Lane is your new cool hangout – where you can graze on deli style toasties, healthy bowls and pastries, as well as a pretty impressive cup of coffee. The concept was created by Aussie sisters Alexandra Davidson and Georgina Trigg, who have helped develop some of the most interesting dining and interior brands in the city. Look out for activations aplenty.

Wok & Roll Friday Brunch
A brunch in two parts at Mr Miyagi’s in Dubai Media City. Available from either 12pm-3pm or (a much more civilised) 4pm-7pm, diners are served with four delicious sharing courses, including edamame beans, a selection of dim sum, chicken satay, sushi and sashimi plates, and Thai and Japanese curries. You have to try their great house mixes, too.
