Peyote Business Lunch
The upscale Mexican had launched its very first business lunch and, we have to say that it’s worth a try. For AED130, guests will be treated to a three course meal; one soup, a starter and a main course – the pot braised short ribs and the yellowfin tuna and salmon, shouldn’t be missed. For an additional AED35, you can enjoy your dish with a glass of quality of grape or you can satiate your sweet tooth with a traditional dessert of churros and coffee.
When: 12pm-3.30pm, Sunday to Thursday
Where: Peyote, Gate Village 02, DIFC
Price: AED130

Parlour Boutique
Good breakfasts have now arrived at Dubai’s World Trade Centre courtesy of French café and patisserie Parlour Boutique. With is specialty coffee, bakery and bistro dishes, it’s a place for passing by all through the day – although its croissants, berry and pecan pancakes and their eggs benedict in an éclair means the earlier the better for us.
Where: Central One Building, Dubai World Trade Centre

Yi By Yuan
A Thursday night ladies night is the stuff of legend in Dubai, so Yi by Yuan shoots straight to the top of our must-try planner. It takes place at the Chinese hotspot between 8.30pm-11pm and includes free house mixes all night as well as 30 per cent off a special Yuan menu, which has been created exclusively by executive oriental chef David Pang. Look out for the roasted duck roll with mango.
When: 8.30pm-11pm, every Thursday
Where: Atlantis The Palm

Dirty Dog Challenge
As regular readers will know, we love an eating challenge here at ShortList, so the launch of a new one is something we get excited about – especially when it’s a hot dog. The Black Lion’s Dirty Dog Challenge serves up a metre-long dog that gets dirtier and hotter as you progress along its course – and challengers have just 15 minutes to complete it. Any that do will have their bill waived and a place on the leaderboard, those who don’t will have to stump up AED295.
When: 5pm-11.30pm, Saturday to Wednesday
Where: The Black Lion, H Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road
Price: AED295
