Chef Jean Pascal has devised four courses: seafood from the crudo bar; the likes of Tasmanian salmon crudo and wild mushroom risotto served at the table; mains of seafood mixed grills and oven-braised Australian short ribs; and desserts such as strawberry and cream cheesecake. AED450 with house beverages.

Autumn Menu at Bistrot Bagatelle
There’s a new menu at this French restaurant to help evoke thoughts of Paris in autumn. Chef Timothy Newton’s new dishes include pumpkin and ricotta tortellini with brown butter beurre blanc (pictured) and striploin beef with potato rosti and sauce. Available on Saturdays for AED475 a head.

Tropicana
A brand new rooftop venue is set to open this week at the Metropolitan Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. It’s hardly the tallest building in Dubai but its location guarantees great views of the Gulf coast. The tiki-themed venue will be offering Hawaiian beverages and live music – and thanks to its pool and extensive menu, it can all be enjoyed throughout the day, too.
