8 brand new Dubai brunches

Published

on

There has been a constant stream of new openings lately, and where there’s a new venue, a brunch is sure to follow. But far from being a three-hour buffet with some drinks stations, these places are putting their own spin on things. Evening shindigs, sophisticated sharing concepts and a la carte parties are all in our ShortList of Dubai’s best new brunches.

Spirito – Launches September 11
What: Join Spirito for a carnival atmosphere and plenty of Brazilian street food served in a sharing style. A la carte mains include the Lobo black angus steak with a special coco and chilli rub (our must try), and Cajun shrimp in a coconut stew. As well as the all-important resident DJ, there will be live entertainment including carnival dancers. It all sounds good, but our favourite part is that there are two sittings… we suppose if you’re feeling paticularly brave you could do both the day and night brunch.
Price: AED450 including house beverages and sparkling.
When: Fridays, 1pm to 5pm and 8pm to 12pm.
Where: Level 9, Media One Hotel, +971 04 421 2679, www.spirito.ae

Vivaldi Alfredo Rosso – Launches September 11
What: Instead of the traditional ‘all you can eat’ brunch, Vivaldi have come up with a playful concept. Diners have the choice of 16 a la carte dishes, but you don’t simply choose from the menu. On arrival you get 16 cards, and place them in the cardholder on the table in whichever order you like. Italian speciality desserts to start, or a pasta dish to finish? The choice is yours. The menu changes weekly and the views of Dubai’s skyline make for a beautiful backdrop.
Price: AED179 with water, AED239 with select beverages.
When: Fridays, 7pm to 11pm
Where: Sheraton Dubai Creek, +971 4 207 1717,

Crab Tavern
What: Crab Tavern’s new brunch is a throwback to the ’80s and ’90s, with big tunes and old games – fancy cracking a Rubik’s cube in between courses? Starters and desserts are sharing style while the choice of hearty main courses is a la carte. The best bit? House beverages include cocktails, belinis and sparking.
Price: AED250 with soft drinks, AED395 with house beverages.
