Dubai is getting another ‘world first’ destination
If there’s any city in the world where you can shop till you drop, it’s got to be Dubai. It’s already home to the largest mall in the world, Dubai Mall. And, it’s getting the world’s largest night market, Deira Islands Night Souk.
So, what's next? Good question. For its next big retail project Dubai will be launching the world's first nature inspired mall – which, we've been told, is already 50 percent complete.
Cityland Mall will feature 200,000 sq ft of landscaped gardens. The gardens are reportedly being landscaped by the same masterminds behind projects like the Dubai Miracle Garden and Dubai Butterfly Garden.
The project located next to Global Village will also be home to a number of food and beverage outlets. Some of which will feature outdoor terraces that will offer views of the various gardens, which will include a 360-degree rooftop garden, a Japanese Garden and an Ancient Tree Garden. The mall’s food and beverage offering will include restaurants, cafes and quick service food concepts as well as a food court with 20 outlets.
Set to open in the last quarter of this year, Cityland Mall will also feature a 100,000 sq ft Carrefour hypermarket that will be surrounded by over 75 shops and services outlets. Other key venues will include a Vox Cinemas and Fabyland, a futuristic family entertainment destination. Avid shoppers will be able to make their way through over 100 shops.
