Ahhh, travel. There’s nothing we love more. The ability to step foot on to a giant metal bird and just in a few short hours (unless you are flying to Australia or the USA), land in a completely new country, where no one (for the most part) knows you – absolute bliss.

What we don’t like, however, is packing for said trip. There’s always the argument of many shirts, socks and pants to pack in to our brand new bag that weighs little to nothing. And once we’ve narrowed down our wardrobe, comes the struggle of making it all fit into one small, relatively weightless bag.

The aforementioned suitcase struggle (battle) usually consists of sitting on it, kicking it, a few screams, the occasional tear and eventually sees us leave behind a few more items then we’d like.

Luckily for us and you, Etihad Airways has just announced that it will now allow its passengers to check in as many bags as they’d like, provided it fits in with their classes’ luggage allowance.

If you’ve yet to fly with Etihad, here’s how much you’re allowed to bring.

If you’re flying on Economy class it’s 23kgs. If you’re willing to spend a bit more on an Economy Saver seat it’s 30kgs. And, if you’d like to splash out on a Business or First Class seat, you’re allowed 40kg and 50kg, respectively.

While we leave you to plan your next strategic baggage session, here’s a list of destinations that you can fly to with Etihad, you know, for travel inspiration.

London, England
Sights like Big Ben and London Eye and London Tower have made the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Its buzzing nightlife and fashion scene are great too. If you’re a fan of history, be sure to check out Buckingham Palace – you could spot the Queen doing her rounds.

Paris, France
Known as the “City of Light”, the fashion favourite is perfect for those looking to do a little RnR while taking in the stunning sights of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. The café culture and live music are nice added bonuses.

New York, USA
With an iconic skyline, energetic nightlife, bounty of museums and endless shops, a trip to the Big Apple is guaranteed to leave you dazzled, and you’ll find it easy to see why it’s been voted The Best City in the World.

Oh, and, here’s a little tip on how to make sure that your baggage comes out before anyone else’s.
