So THIS is what Riverland Dubai looks like

Dubai Parks and Resorts keep teasing us with images and videos of the massive entertainment destination, ahead of its opening in October this year. The latest pictures of Riverland show that the theme park is almost ready for its first visitors.

Riverland Dubai is a man-made river within the park, flanked by dining outlets and shops. Visitors will be able to take a boat ride to the 50 restaurants and retail outlets. The four zones include The French Village, India Gate, Boardwalk and The Peninsula, each with a different theme to match.

The river is 5.5 metres deep and will have boats to drive you from one part of the park to another, while explaining all about the destination.

French Village offers a medieval experience, which will have a watermill as the central focus. India Gate is themed around 1920s and 1930s India, providing an entry into Bollywood Dubai as well as offering plenty of Indian restaurants. There’s also a boardwalk which takes you back to the fabulous 50s with icons such as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe.

Dubai Parks and Resorts is set to open on October 31. The biggest theme park in the region will be made up of Motiongate, Bollywood Parks & Resorts, Legoland, Legoland Waterpark, Riverland and Lapita Hotel. However, according to the CEO, we shouldn’t expect the whole park to be open in October.

“We plan to launch with full experiences for Bollywood Parks Dubai, Legoland Dubai and Legoland Water Park, Lapita Hotel and Riverland Dubai, while a significant portion of Motiongate Dubai will premiere on 31st October, work on some of the attractions will be ongoing to create the very best experience for guests,” said Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, CEO of Dubai Parks and Resorts.
