Cinema – Shut In (18)
The words “a widowed child psychologist in isolated rural New England” probably tell you all you need to know about the tone of this movie. Add in a paralysed child (Room’s Jacob Tremblay), a gathering storm and the fear that someone or something else maybe in the house, and you just know that Mary (Naomi Watts) must immediately rush off to take a bath. Of course she does. Chilly French-made thriller directed by Farren Blackburn.
