Hip Hop Karaoke,
Karaoke is officially a thing again, then? A new night in Media City is dedicated to just one form of music, though – rap. So, if you fancy yourself as the next Snoop, this is the place to prove it. There are more than 600 urban instrumentals from which you can get your groove.

Ollie Howell
Quincy Jones has opened a bar in Dubai (yes, really). Q’s Bar and Lounge will feature performances from the next generation of stars, directed by the musical legend. Until the end of December you can catch award-winning drummer, instrumentalist, composer and producer Ollie Howell. Quincy said he’s a “360-degree beautiful young cat.” We could only dream of Quincy calling us a beautiful young cat…

Ladies’ Night Blind Dragon
Regular readers will know that we have been singing about this place from the rooftops. The luxury karaoke joint has given us a new tune already with the launch of their ladies night. On Tuesdays – when else? – ladies will get four drinks and 50 percent off the food menu from 8pm until late. Don’t want to sing? There’s resident DJ, too.

One of the better new bars to have opened up in 2016, the Tap House offers a decent blend of pub-style interior and expansive outside seating ideal for… well, now. To help entice you further, they have just launched their Mandays, a nice counterpoint to the ladies-get-stuff-free nights. It’s simple, on Mondays, guys get two for one on select drinks until 9pm.

Cinema – Complete Unknown (18)
This is the kind of film that has you gazing across at your nearest and dearest and wondering what dark, twisted secrets they may be harbouring. And why they didn’t tell you. And oh no you’re such a fool why couldn’t I see it earlier…? Rachel Weisz plays Alice, who turns up at the birthday party of old flame Tom (Michael Shannon) after vanishing 15 years before. Her story doesn’t add up. None of it does. And so it begins…
