Emirates have a massive sale on flights from the UAE to the US

From now until February 3, flight from the UAE to the United States are significantly cheaper. Emirates Airline has slashed fares to a number of destinations in America, including New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, San Francisco and Seattle. These special tickets are available for as little as AED3,560 return.

Although you don’t have long to buy you flight, you have a long time to use it. The special fare is valid for flights until November 30 this year.

There are a total of 12 destinations in the US listed in Emirates discounted trips. These include an economy return ticket to New York for AED3,560, Chicago and Washington from AED4,060, Los Angeles from AED4,760 and San Francisco from AED5,160.

This comes shortly after Emirates announced that there will be a new daily service from Dubai to Newark Liberty International Airport starting from March 12.

But not everyone is happy about the airline’s US plans. Emirates and other airlines are currently in dispute with local US carriers who claim that they are benefiting from subsidies, and therefore making the competition unfair.

“What transpires will depend on what view is formed concerning the criticisms put forward by the US big three carriers and how these are weighed against the consumer and economic benefits to US cities of direct services operated by the Gulf carriers,” John Strickland, director at JLS Consulting, told The National last month. “Along with this will be consideration of the massive export value of aircraft orders by the Gulf carriers and the jobs that these support.”

It’s not yet clear how this will be resolved, but given this long-running feud, and the fact that Donald Trump is expected to ban visa applications from a number of countries in the Middle East and Africa (MENA) region, including Syria.

Economy class prices start at AED3,560 and business class AED17,110.
