Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan in talks for possible Dubai fight

And that’s not all. The eight-time world division champion recently took to social media to say “See you in the UAE for my next fight.” Sky Sports confirmed that a business advisor said that Pacquiao’s next fight would “most likely” take place in Dubai against Amir Khan.

Speaking on the event, Al Afag tourism CEO, Diaa Al Khatib, whose event management company will be handling the event, revealed: “We tried our best to finalise the deal for a year now and we are happy that it is through. Where it will be held, Dubai or Abu Dhabi, will be announced in a couple of weeks and Pacquiao will be there.”
This match will mark Pacquiao’s first fight in the region, which isn’t as a result of a lack of trying, as the 38-year-old welterweight boxer has reportedly been trying to land a fight in the region for quite some time now.
More specifically, since he first arrived in Dubai two years ago. During a Q&A session held at Dubai’s Emirates Terminal 3 in 2015, the now Filipino senator confessed: “I'm surprised because they know me here. I want to fight here, I feel so happy to be here in Dubai. This is my first time here. Thank you for the warm welcome, especially to the Filipino people here in Dubai... thank you.” No, Manny, thank you ‘cause this is going to epic.
