It’s going to rain in the UAE again

Just when you thought spring had finally started, think again. It looks like the rain is back for a short while.

Some parts of the UAE including Sharjah saw light showers last night, and the experts suggest more is to come this week. According to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), there is a decent chance of more rain today in the UAE, especially across the northern areas. There could also be a fair few dust storms, and temperatures starting to drop again.

Even though the mercury has been creeping back above 30c in the past few days, it is likely to fall back down to around 27c by the middle of next week. Right now it doesn’t look like the rain is heading for Dubai – however most of the forecasts we have checked this morning predict there could be a spell of thunder by next Tuesday.

Here at Shortlist, we are sticking to our own forecast which is that the last full day of winter is Saturday March 25 – the day of the Dubai World Cup.

Either way, looks like you only have a few more weeks to wear those winter jumpers.
