Latest ‘The Fast and the Furious’ movie to premiere in Dubai

Looks like actor Tyrese Gibson is all set to come back to Dubai… only this time he’s bringing a few of his A-list friends with him.

The 38-year-old announced via social media that he along with several of his co-stars – please let it be Charlize Theron and Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham – will be premiering Fast 8 in both Dubai and Qatar.

However, the post has now been deleted from Instagram, so it seems that Tyrese may have been a little premature with his announcement.

The premiere, which is set to take place this April (if the social media post is accurate), will be second time that Dubai has hosted the billion dollar franchise which also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and Dame Helen Mirren  – it hosted Furious 7 last year.

The film which is already set to break Box Office records will be the first of the franchise without Paul Walker, who tragically passed away in a car accident midway through the filming of Furious 7.

Tyrese’s trip to Dubai would be his fourth official visit – he first visited the region during the filming of The Fast And The Furious in April 2014.

Speaking on his visit the Voltron Chairman said: “I found my smile again because of the UAE. I came to Dubai for my 35th birthday and I was sad, I was miserable. I was in a state of trauma and shock after the death of my brother Paul Walker. Then I came to Dubai and my life changed forever. I love this place and now I’m on a mission to make everyone love it like I do.”

We’ll just keep watching the movie’s trailer till he gets here…
