UAE temperatures to peak at 42C in coming days
It’s been a colder than average winter for Dubai, but now it seems that the first signs of summer are starting to show. According to the National Center for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), temperatures in the UAE will reach highs of 38 to 42 degrees Celsius in internal areas. Coastal areas will peak at 35 to 38 degrees Celsius.
Inside the city evenings will dip to around 22C. And the weather forecast reads pretty mild too: “Fair weather in general, partly cloudy and slightly hazy at times over some areas during the daytime, becoming mild weather during night. Light to moderate winds in general. Sea is slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.”
Tuesday April 11 and Wednesday April 12 will also be mild, with forecasters saying that “fair weather will continue.”
Longer range weather forecasts are predicting a sunny weekend, with temperatures in Dubai ranging from lows of 25C to highs of 28C.
Of course, the mountain areas are still considerably cooler than the cities. However, it seems like quite pleasant levels for hiking. The lowest temperature recorded over the country this morning was in Jais Mountain at 3.45am, at 18.6C.
