UAE temperatures to reach highs of 44C this week
Summer is coming. In fact, it has pretty much arrived.
As April comes to a close, the temperature is rapidly stepping up a gear. April 30 is set to bring temperatures of up to 44 degrees Celsius in some internal areas in the UAE, while along the coast we will see highs of 40C.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, todays’ forecast reads: “Fair to relatively hot weather in general, and partly cloudy at times over some areas, with a chance of some convective clouds by afternoon over the eastern and mountainous areas, associated with some rain over those areas. Light to moderate winds in general. The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over the coastal areas. Sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman sea.”
Similar weather is predicted until Tuesday.
You can tell that the hot summer months are on their way. The lowest temperature recorded in the UAE today was in Jais Mountain at 5.45am, at 21.3C. To put this in perspective, Jais Mountain can be around zero in the winter months.
Longer range forecasts are predicting bright sunshine and high temperatures for the foreseeable future.
