VIDEO: Dubai’s Crown Prince shows off spearfishing skills
Known for his love of adventure, The Crown Prince of Dubai’s latest mission sees him spearfishing.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared a snap of his deep sea adventures with his 5.3million Instagram followers.
The snap has already received over 125,000 likes in just 48 hours, and isn’t the only Instagram of Sheikh Hamdan’s adventure. His friend Mohammed posted a video.
The minute long video shows Sheikh Hamdan “throwing” his friend in the water and later catching a huge fish with his spear gun.
The video posted on Mohammed’s Instagram account (@Maj) on Friday morning has already been viewed over 65,000 times.
This isn’t the first time that Sheikh Hamdan has made headlines for his love of extreme sports.
The extreme sports-lover has been snapped taking part in the city’s Spartan Race (dubbed the toughest race on earth) on numerous occasions and has even tried out the city’s XLine which takes you from Downtown Dubai over the city’s infamous Dubai Fountains to Dubai Mall.
If you scroll through Sheikh Hamdan’s Instagram account (@faz) you’ll find that he’s also a fan of water jetting, falconry and endurance racing.
You’ll also find that he has a love of animals. Just last month he shared a selfie from his car that showed a giraffe reaching through his sunroof to grab some leaves.
Sheikh Hamdan captioned the picture: “Who came to say [hi] and have a snack!”
The post has now got over 180,000 likes and thousands of comments. One of which said: “Great selfie! What lovely creatures.”
