This is broken down into AED42,695 basic salary plus average flying pay and AED16,075 housing allowance.

First Officers on the A380 and B777 earn a total monthly tax-free salary of AED44,450.

This is broken down into AED30,125 basic salary plus average flying pay and AED14,325 housing allowance. Pilots can also opt for company provided housing.

Benefits include global primary and secondary education allowance, medical and dental coverage, and life and accident insurance.

Captains get 42 days per year annual leave. And you get your hands on a Platinum discount card.

If you’re thinking that sounds pretty good and you fancy a career change, then wait until you hear the minimum requirements, because it’s going to take a lot of hard work.

A First Officer on a Boeing 777 and A380 must have a valid ICAO ATPL (or USA equivalent) as well as 2,000 hours flying an aircraft with a MTOW of 20 tonnes or more, or 3,000 hours flying an aircraft with a MTOW above 10 tonnes.

You must also have ICAO English level 4 or above (or equivalent). You can find out more about that here.

With the airline currently hiring individuals, this should come as good news for those looking to secure their spot.
