Temperatures to reach 49C in parts of the UAE
If you’re thinking about going to the beach or having a late outdoor game of footie, you might want to read this.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has announced that the weather is expected to hit a high of 49°C in some parts of the UAE today.
According to the NCMS bulletin, the humidity level is expected to reach 85 percent around internal areas while coastal areas are expected to reach a humidity level of 90 percent.
The NCMS forecast for today reads: “Hot weather in general, cloudy at times. Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times especially over eastern & northern areas which may cause blowing dust/sand over exposed areas during daytime. Sea will be slight to moderate in general in Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.”
Similar weather is expected until Friday, June 9.
