If you have $450,000 (AED1.7 million) to spare, you could be the lucky owner of the UAE’s latest super car.

Following a two-year wait, Emirati supercar manufacturer Zaqrooq Motors has just revealed the very first model of the SandRacer 500 GT.

The slick two-seater car that’s priced at US$450,000 comes complete with an all fibre body, luxury hand-stitched interiors and rear-wheel drive.

The super car has also been designed with the UAE in mind, meaning that it can withstand community and off-road driving.

“Zarooq Motors makes supercars that are unique since you can take them on a week-end track day or for a luxurious commute in the city but also on any off-road terrain, even the toughest dunes of the Arabian Desert where they were born,” says Zarooq Motors executive Mohammed Al Qadi.

The car, that was first unveiled at the Abu Dhabi F1 GP in December 2015, also features a digital dashboard, climate control and a tuned 6.2 litre V8 engine.

If you’d like to get your hands on one, the sales of the first limited-edition series of 35 supercars have started and, the first models which have already been ordered will be delivered by Q4 this year. Click here, to find out more.

While this is one of Zaqrooq Motors’ first super cars, the region has inspired a number of luxury car designs in the past year.

Revealed just last month, the Bentayga Falconry by Mulliner pays homage to the nation’s rich falconry history.

The stunning car features a perch between the two front seats and a perch at the back of the car which is also fitted with a master flight section and a case for refreshments.

The car’s master flight station houses a GPS bird tracking unit, binoculars, hand-crafted leather bird hoods and gauntlets, tracking antennas and various tools and tethers. The refreshment case, however, is packed with face cloths, three metal flasks and a blanket.

Speaking on the car, the director of Mulliner (Bentley's commissioning division) Geoff Dowding said: “The Bentayga Falconry showcases what's possible with our skilled craftspeople. They can devise elegant and exquisitely executed bespoke solutions to compliment any lifestyle or hobby.”
