The first of the Yasalam after-race concerts at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix have just been announced and they’re big…. Scottish DJ Calvin Harris and American solo artist Pink will play at Yas Island’s Du Arena in November.

Calvin Harris is opening the concerts with a gig on Thursday, November 23. The 33-year-old, who is better-known as Adam Wiles to people in his hometown of Dumfries, is dominating the charts at the moment. It seems like every year he drops an anthem-of-the-summer, with tracks like “My Way”, “This Is What You Came For”, “How Deep Is Your Love” and “Summer” gaining him serious radio-play over the last few years. The concert comes at a great time for Harris, who dropped his latest album of floor-fillers, Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1, last Friday.

Pink, who will close the concerts on Sunday, November 26, has a similar global reach. At 37, she has been in the industry for over 20 years, with songs in the early noughties like “Get the Party Started” and “Don’t Let Me Get Me” topping charts around the world. These days tracks such as “Just Like Fire” and “Waterfall” (which saw her collaborate with Sia) continue to make her one of the most talked about artists in the music industry.

Acts for November 24 and 25 will be revealed soon.
