UAE cuts processing time of residency visa in half
If you’re moving to the UAE any time soon, we’ve got some good news. It’s now going to take much less time to process your residency visa, thanks to a new government initiative.
The Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Health and Prevention, and Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Emirates Identity Authority have announced that there are new measures to reduce the processing time by 50 percent.
The four government bodies are aiming to carry out joint transactions in record time, in order to advance government standards by 2021.
Dr. Hussain Al Rand, Assistant Under-Secretary for Health Centres and Clinics, Ministry of Health, said: ''The Ministry of Health is committed to co-operating with other government stakeholders to deliver the objectives of the government accelerators regarding the residency permit for private sector staff in 100 days.'
This is one of the accelerators launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
