Guests and staff return to Mövenpick JBR after fire

Guests and staff members have returned to Mövenpick Hotel Jumeriah just hours after authorities successfully eradicated a minor fire on the property.

According to an official statement given to Hotelier Middle East, the fire broke out on the second floor of the five star hotel at around 10am this morning.

The spokesperson added that the hotel’s team rapidly responded the incident that the Police and Civil Defence swiftly brought the fire under control. All of the hotel’s guests and staff members were safely evacuated, accounted for, and returned back to the hotel within an hour.

This follows two recent fires in residential buildings over the past week.

The first occurred in the Torch Tower in Dubai Marina on Friday morning. Thankfully, everybody in the 87-storey tower managed to leave the building quickly and the fire was put out within hours.  No casualties or injuries reported have been reported.
