UAE announces first day of Eid Al Adha



The Saudi Supreme court confirmed that the first day of Eid Al Adha will begin on Friday, September 1. Emirates news agency WAM said in a press statement that UAE authorities have also confirmed that Friday will be the first day of Eid.

This means that the Eid Al Adha holidays for the public sector holidays will begin on Thursday, August 31, according to The Federal Authority for Human Resources.

Government workers will return to work on Monday, September 4, giving them a four-day weekend.

The private sector holidays for Eid Al Adha have not yet been called.
