12 Angry Men
Reginald Rose’s classic teleplay about a dozen jurors rummaging through their moral scruples to determine whether a young man on trial for the murder of his father is guilty beyond reasonable doubt – which was famously turned into a film with Peter Fonda and Jack Warden in 1957 – gets the stage treatment at The Junction this weekend. With a guilty verdict requiring a unanimous vote, the play takes place in a single room, where a battle of intellectual and ethical wills is fought between those who believe he is guilty and those who feel the evidence can’t lead to such a conclusion, with plenty of ebbing and flowing between both as the arguments are put forward. H72 Productions is producing this four-show run, with performances at 7.30pm on Thursday and Friday and at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday.
