Loving Vincent
A pre-release screening of the animated film about the life and death of Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh. It has been billed as the world’s first fully oil painted feature film, which attempts to bring the paintings of van Gogh to life by hand-painting each of the 65,000 frames.

Joe & Sons Ladies Night
Another outing for the ladies-night-with-a-difference at Joe & Sons in collaboration with surfy-motorbikey clothing brand Deus Arabia. Oktoberfest 2017
From 7pm-3am for three nights, revellers can enjoy all the unique hospitality of Munich under the roof of the Dubai Sports City Dome, with German band Die Derbys, a host of DJs and a stack of freshly prepared German food. It’s AED45 for a ticket, although anyone brave enough to turn up in either lederhosen or a dirndl, entry is free. Get oompah-ing, everyone.

To kick off the nation’s beloved tanning season with a bang, Rixos The Palm is offering ladies access to its two swimming pools as well as Palm Jumeirah’s stretch of private beach for just AED99. Friday Brunch at ubk
This is one of our favourite brunches in Dubai. Casual without being crazy, fun without being formal, it’s the kind of relaxed, easygoing affair we want on a Friday. The food is pretty decent, too, especially if you have a craving for a quality burger at around midday. There’s also a live band.

Flip Out Dubai
The deals at Flip-Out Dubai may just make you want to jump for joy, quite literally. The trampoline park features more than 200 trampolines, a 3D climbing wall, volleyball court, a half-pipe and foam pit. All this can be enjoyed from just AED70. There’s a neat archery section too and, we’ve been told that the dodgeball battles are a sight to be seen.

Miniature Golf at Tee and Putt
Tee and Putt is an 18-hole indoor glow in the dark golf course. Each hole has its own set of obstacles that range from windmills to slopes. Aside from being a relatively unique take on golf, it’s tons of fun and makes for some great Instagram shots.

Than-Q Part VI
An Ibiza legend is flying in for a special event at Q43. Jonathan Ulysses, longtime resident DJ of the now defunct Space Ibiza, will headline a night of experimental house music with support from local DJ Guess Hu. Brilliantly, the event is absolutely free, which is pretty special considering the status of Ulysses.

Plus-Minus Summer Sessions
Plus-Minus has pulled off its biggest guest appearance to date as Grammy-nominated Timo Mass steps up to the decks. The iconic German DJ will be dipping into his rich history of floor-stomping tracks, and he will be supported on the night by emerging local artists Gabriel Floriani, Mo Ezaby and Hassan Yousef.
