5 great beach clubs to try in Dubai

The one thing we know you’re doing right now is counting down to the long weekend (c’mon, who isn’t?). And, if you want to make this weekend feel like one BIG party, make your way to one of Dubai’s happening beach clubs. Could there be any other way to soak up the sun than a luxurious lounger, good music and some bites and beverages? No. So here are your options.

Nikki Beach
Tucked away in a corner of Pearl Jumeira, the elite Miami import offers guests plush sun beds, flavourful food and brilliant entertainment with a side of Downtown Dubai views. The signature white décor coupled with beautiful architecture and tropical palm trees is a nice added bonus.
Food and drink: Think globally-inspired dishes ranging from Wagyu sliders to falafel wraps, sushi to satay (you’d be crazy not to try the Nikki Beach famous satay) as well as a raw bar that features oysters, ceviche, sashimi and more. End the meal on a guilt-free note with the fruit boat; a selection of exotic fruits plated for sharing.

El Chiringuito
If you live in Downtown or old Dubai, the thought of driving out so far might dissuade you from visiting but let us assure you that the venue is as pretty as a picture with its bougainvillea drapes and beachside cabanas. Lounging by the pool to the sounds of deep electric tunes in this tropical haven is absolute bliss!
Food and drink: The Mediterranean menu offers delish sharing options including Milanese veal, roasted lamb shoulder and our all-time favourite – the sea bass in salt.

Cove Beach
With views that include the Arabian Gulf, Burj Al Arab and the wave-shaped Jumeirah Beach Hotel itself, there’s not much to fault here. While the venue offers an indoor option, it’s the outdoor space that gets all the attention…and it’s not hard to tell why. Whether you perch yourself on the edge of the pool or lie back on the oversized day bed, be assured it’s a day well spent.
Food and drink: Get a taste of the Cove lobster cracker or salmon tartar and you’ll understand why they’ve been labelled the ‘signature dishes’.

Azure Beach
For now, the swan-float decked pool is perhaps the most Instagrammable element of the Mediterranean-inspired venue, but it won’t be too long before the backdrop of a complete Ain Dubai (the world’s largest wheel) becomes another one on the list.
Food and drink: When hunger strikes, your options include sandwiches, pizza and sushi (did we mention they have a fantasy and a stamina roll?).

Riva Beach
With over 200 sun loungers available, Riva is your go-to place if you’re one of those with a large entourage. What more could you ask for from a venue that offers a private beach, climate-controlled pool and distant views of Downtown skyline? Nothing really.
Food and drink: A recently revamped menu only means there’s more to choose from – grills, burgers, pasta, pizza, seafood…the list is endless.
