9 great things to do in Dubai this weekend

Sole DXB 2017
It’s become one of our favourite events of the year and one that speaks to several of our obsessions; sneakers, streetwear, art and music. SoleDXB returns to Dubai Design District with an even bigger lineup of acts, attractions, activations and, of course sneaker brands. One of the themes this year is Japanese contemporary design and how it has helped shape and influence contemporary streetwear, pop culture and comicbooks. For the first time there’s
a pop-up store in partnership with Virgin, called Early Retirement – chance would be a fine thing – to sell collaboration pieces, event merchandise and Tokyo-sourced goods from vending machines.
